Terms of Service

PCOWidget is operated by Comp Edge Solutions. These Terms of Service govern your use of the PCOWidget service, including the API, embeddable calendar widget, and supporting tools.

1. The Service

PCOWidget connects your Planning Center Online (PCO) account to your website, displaying your church's calendar events through an embeddable JavaScript widget. The service includes an API endpoint, the widget code, a signup flow, and a widget builder tool.

2. Your Account

• Provide accurate information when creating your account.
• Keep your API key secure. Do not share it in a way that allows other organizations to use it.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be authorized to connect the Planning Center account you connect, whether by signing in to Planning Center or by entering credentials. Do not connect an account belonging to another organization.
• One account per organization. Contact us if you have a specific need for more.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to display content you do not have rights to publish
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API beyond normal widget operation
• Use the service in any way that violates Planning Center Online's own terms of service
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, CORS restrictions, or other access controls
• Resell or sublicense access to the PCOWidget API
• On the Starter plan, hide, cover, remove, or make unreadable the "Powered by PCOWidget" credit, whether by CSS, scripts, or page layout (see The Starter credit below)

4. Plans and Pricing

The Starter credit

The Starter plan is free because each widget carries a small "Powered by PCOWidget" credit. You are welcome to restyle the widget to match your website, using the built-in styling options or your own CSS, and the credit takes on your brand colour when you set one. What the Starter plan does not allow is hiding, covering, or removing the credit. That includes CSS such as display: none or visibility: hidden, zero or near-invisible sizes or colours, positioning it out of view, and removing it with a script.

To remove the credit, upgrade to Pro. If we find a Starter widget with the credit hidden, we will first ask you to restore it or move to Pro. Continuing to hide it after that request is a breach of these Terms under Section 5.

The Starter daily limit

A widget load is one fetch of events by the widget, roughly one per page view. We email the address on your account when your site passes 80% of that limit, and again if it reaches the limit. At the limit, a Starter site's widgets pause until the count drops back under it. A church whose website regularly needs more should use Pro.

Pro plans are billed monthly. Cancel at any time and your account continues until the end of the current billing period, then reverts to the Starter plan.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days notice sent to the email address on your account. A price change applies to your subscription only after that notice period.

5. Service Availability

We work hard to keep the service running reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. If our API is unavailable, the widget simply does not render on your page. We are not liable for damages resulting from downtime.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or have been inactive for more than 12 months on the free plan.

6. Your Data

We store your Planning Center connection encrypted and use it only to fetch your church's calendar data and the organization settings needed to display it, such as your timezone, tag groups and campuses. We do not claim ownership of your data. You may request full deletion of your account at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Testimonials

If you send us a testimonial, you give us permission to publish it on pcowidget.com with the name, role, church and image you provided. Nothing is published until we have emailed you a private preview. You can ask us to change or remove your testimonial at any time, and we will.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or that calendar data from Planning Center will always be accurate or current.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Comp Edge Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of PCOWidget.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
